Following the successful development of the 71° North rods and systems, Balzer have now developed the matching multiplying reels together with Jurgen. Besides uncompromising quality, Jurgen has devoted special attention to a high speed transmission. With most commercial models the transmission is much too low, making cranking up pretty torturous and spoiling the pleasure of fishing. The models I have developed have a high speed 6.1:1 transmission. This enables me to lift my assembly or hooked fish to the top fast. The entire mechanics of the reel are rust-proof and guarantee a long service life. The oversized disc brakes and power gear are unique!
